The Dreaded Shots!!!

Today Dickinson went to the doc for his 2 month checkup and shots!
12 pounds, 8 ounces.

Thornton had a fun time playing doctor while we waited for the nurse.

He was great and even smiled, AFTER his shots, while Thornton and I got flu shots for ourselves- it was only fair.

Check out that orange tray of shots for the little boy!

Aunt Mary

Aunt Mary came for a visit. Here is Dickinson reading to her and Grandmom Watson.

Mary pushed Dickinson in his stroller and even held him- if he wasn't crying.

A Visitor

We had a visit from Grandmom Tayloe for the weekend. She babysat one night so Thornton and I could go out to dinner- Dickinson slept the whole time!!!!

Thornton is so good with babies. He knows just what to do with them. This was when Dickinson was 1 month old.

A Big Smile

Dickinson has lots of smiles for us! Here he is hanging out on his jungle gym on this rainy day.

Savage Neck Sand Dunes

On Sunday we took the dogs and Dickinson on the Savage Neck Sand Dunes trail. It was a beautiful day. The trail is awesome and leads right to the beach. Dickinson had lunch on the beach while the dogs went crazy fetching sticks in the water. Sadly, we left the camera in the truck so we could only take a pic once we got back to the trail entrance- but we will be going back!

Wild Life Refuge

We went with Robyn and Bill to the Wild Life Refuge on the tip of the Shore. We walked along the loop and encountered a number of very serious bird watchers. We also went on the Butterfly Trail for Bill and Thornton. Dickinson was so good!

Bathtime

Dickinson loves the bath so far. Thornton holds on to him while I soap him up and rinse him off.

1 Week Old

Back in time...Only 1 week old. Dickinson keeps us amused with all of his funny faces.

First Time on the Boat

It was a really still, muggy evening, so after Thornton got off work, we took Dickinson out for his first boat ride. He rode in the carseat and loved it when we were going fast.

The sun was setting and we stopped at the point to walk Dickinson on the beach. He said he can't wait to go swimming there next summer!
