A visit from Mary Beth Hallet
The Hallets came for the weekend. Dickinson and Shackelford both loved Mary Beth. Southey was indifferent, of course.
Mary Beth ate her dinner in Dickinson's bumbo seat among the bourbon, zinnias, and local tomatoes.
Dickinson magically developed a greater affinity for this toy after Mary Beach was using it.
This is where we tried to encourage Dickinson to go around the baby and not over her.
